Essential Conditions Survey

• Does my school have a technology plan that focuses on how technology will be used to enhance student learning?
• How is technology being used in my school? (ex. drill and practice, lower level thinking skills, higher order thinking skills, collaborative projects)
• Do the individuals in leadership roles in my school support and encourage student-centered approaches to learning?
• Do all students have access to modern technologies in sufficient quantity to facilitate the integration of technology into the curriculum?
• Do the teachers in my school have the skills necessary to plan and implement technology integration lessons where the tasks are authentic, challenging, and multidisciplinary?
• Is technical assistance for both hardware and software available and is it provided in a timely manner?
• Are there adequate funds for acquiring and maintaining technologies?
• Is the impact of technology use on the learning process being assessed?
• Are there community partnerships that provide expertise, support and real-life interactions for students?
